Four Circles For Our Brave Protectors

I wasn't going to write about the obvious today, linking marijuana legislation to the deaths of the four officers in Alberta. However, the shameless Liberals are already looking to link the two. They wish to use this tragic event to introduce legislation that gets a little tougher on suppliers and legalize the user.

I am not a sociologist, but what happens when there is an increase in demand and supply is cut off, assuming the Liberals are a success in choking off grow operations? Is this plan not a plan for disaster? Prices may skyrocket and lead to more lucrative returns for the supplier and wouldn't this result in greater risks to be taken by them.

Are the Liberals prepared to start an arms race with pot growers in the streets of Canada? Is it just a coincidence that four police officers are killed at a grow op, the same week the Liberals make a show of their newest member, Marc-Boris St. Maurice the founder of the pro pot party?

Is it a coincidence that the youth wing pushing the party towards legal use, comes from the same province that this horrible event took place? I believe it should be viewed as a warning to the Government of Canada, to re-examine the social ramifications of the continued quest to be, popular. It is the wrong policy at the wrong time. It is a wedge issue to be used for political gain and nothing more.

I know many Canadians are asking themselves about the loss of our brave men, "they died for what?"
